What kind of wood do you use for your products?
On Mandalay Home Furnishings's products, we partially use tropical hardwood for our products. MHF products, on the other hand, are made of veneer. You may see the type of veneer specified on the product.
In your woven collection, what kind of material do you use on your products?
We use banana leaf, seagrass, water-hyacinth, and rattan. These products are suitable only for indoor use.
Can the furniture split?
With Mandalay home Furnishings, we partially used solid wood throught the products. Despite the fact that we kiln-dried our wood, since the products are produced in highly moisture climate, it tends to react to its new environment and shows the signs of seam splitting and panel shrinkings / movement.
Is Mandalay Home Furnishings' furniture distressed?
Due to its hand-made nature and the use of solid woods, the furniture is slightly distressed. Up close, you may notice cracks within the wood, knots, indentations, and other superficial imperfections (e.g. filled nail holes).
Where are your products manufactured at?
Mandalay Home Furnishings' products are manufactured at our factory in Central Java, Indonesia. MHF's products are made in China.
What is the lead time to order your products?
We stock most items in our catalog in our warehouse facilities in Garden Grove, CA. We can ship the in-stock items within a few days of receiving the order. If a particular product is out of stock, it usually takes about 1-2 weeks for us to refill the items.
What types of finishes do you offer?
On Mandalay Home Furnishings' products, we offer three different types of finish, which are "Espresso" (black),
"Mahogany" (reddish brown), and "Caramel" (golden brown). On MHF's products, all items are available only as shown.
Can I order a hardcopy of your catalog?
The catalog is $27 and distributed to the "trade only".
